How to relieve fuel pressure with accessories removed?

First things first, your post is messed up.
The way I relieved the fuel preasure with everything removed is to open up the fuel lines and let it drain out. make sure you have lots of rags.

I've got the alt, battery, int, airpump, TB/elbow/UIM removed, and realizing I need to check the fuel system, I want to depressurize and repressurize the system.
To depressurize - does a surgical clamp work well? Should I open the gas cap?
To reprime - if I hook up the battery, and turn on the ignition like normal, will it throw CELs with the UIM stuff unplugged?
