First things first, your post is messed up.

The way I relieved the fuel preasure with everything removed is to open up the fuel lines and let it drain out. make sure you have lots of rags.

Yeah I just noticed that. Our net connection comes and goes here, a real PITA

I've got the alt, battery, int, airpump, TB/elbow/UIM removed, and realizing I need to check the fuel system, I want to depressurize and repressurize the system.

To depressurize - does a surgical clamp work well? Should I open the gas cap?

To reprime - if I hook up the battery, and turn on the ignition like normal, will it throw CELs with the UIM stuff unplugged?
