How Reliable are Rotary's????

I think you guys need to think about what "reliable" means to you.
I remember seeing a vid of some dude blowing up his FC. Appparently he had low compression on his front rotor and maybe a blown coolant seal as well. Started her up in neutral and revved to 9000rpm and held it there for a good 10 minutes and it kept on running........
I wouldnt call that reliable, because it's outside of the normal operating conditions of the engine.
To me, a reliable car is a car that starts every time you need it do and doesnt break down often, if ever. My FD is just as reliable as my Corolla. The FD however costs a lot more than my corolla to keep it reliable.
