How rare is a 94 R2 ?

I know that 93 R1's are rare but what about 94 R2's? Whats so special about them? I guess they come in automatic also?

on the VIn check it says the car is an R2 and it has the special seats but the guy said he pulled an automatic transmission out of it?

R models didn't come in auto. Either the vin check is wrong, I didn't know a vin check would tell you the trim line, or "the guy" doesn't know what he's talking about.

According to this forums FAQ it say that 275 R2s were made

After looking more closely, the FAQ numbers and that pages totals seem to be way different. I really tired though, am I missing something here?

Look for a sticker in the passenger side door jamb. It will tell you what kind of suspension the car has. A base, Touring, or Popular Equipment Group model will say STD for standard suspension. The R model will say something different, sport, or HD, or something like that.
