How to Purge Air out of the cooling system?

I've been searching all morning to no avail.

Can someone provide me a write up or a link on how to purge all the air bubles out of cooling system???

I am running Evans NPG+ and I am seeing 108 C just tooling around town from stop light to stop light.

I think I introiduced air into the system when I was checking for leaks by squeezing the radiator hoses. I heard air coming in and out of a poorly sealing radiator cap on the AST. I fixed the radiator sealling issue but I am seeing much higher temps now...

CAn ya help a brotha' out???

Take the hose off of the UIM by the top of the TB. Fill or burp the system until you can see some coolant at the top of that hose. (keep the hose elevated, it then becomes the highest point in the system, which is were the air wants to get trapped) Pump the main rad. hoses until you think all the air is out. Plug all hoses back in and run the car for 5 mins or so until the thermostat opens, allowing coolant to flow threw the engine. ( Turn the heater on full blast as well! This will help burp any air bubbles in the heater core. Good luck!!Check all hoses for leaks or potential leaks as well.

Thanks BigIslandSevens,

I'll try your method out tonight after my FD cools down.
There is something really wrong with the cooling system on my car. I just got back from an 80 mile drive and the temps were out of control! Ambient temps were around 85 F. I was seeing 113 C driving in stop and go traffic in the city. When I was going up a mountain road I saw 122 C before I turned around and coasted back down the hill.

My radiator is not stock, It has metal end tanks but it isn't a Hi-peformance aluminum rad. either... Do you guys have any ideas???

Update: I ended up having a clogged radiator. Bought a new Koyo and things were all good.

113 C and 122 C?!?!?!? That's way to high for this motor. Just for future information, it should not get above 95 C. Anything above 95 C could result in overheating and needing an engine rebuild. I'm surprised that you didn't damage anthing.

I love my Lisle funnel, it removes a ton of air, even after filling slowly with the throttle body line open, and burping the big coolant hoses as much as possible.

Props to a guy who will dig up a thread from 03 just to post the solution.

Check your facts before you post. 95 is NOT rebuild time. The stock fans don't even come on yet. Most of us that actually track the car will see temps hit the low 100's. I don't like it but it will not kill an engine. 122 on the other hand is getting hot.
