$4000-5000 to get people do it for you. Check with Rotary Extreme in Fremont. Last time I was there they were doing rebuilds.
What is the condition of the rolling chassis, because you may have to do more work than just the engine.

Oh that $4000-5000 is what Ricks Rotary charge last time around. Just a strict rebuild.

You are almost 10K into a car that could have MANY other problems. I would much rather get a running/driving car (and there's some good ones out there) for that price range.

Patience! (Unless that FD is screaming clean etc etc for 5500?)

Front clips are usually about anywhere between $3,000-$3,500 or a little bit more and installation of an engine usually costs somewhere near the $1,500 give or take depending on the mechanic so around $4,500-$5,000 is what I think it would cost but don't forget you might have to rebuild soon because front clips usually have engines between 30-60k miles on them.

Yea, ok thanks for the insight guys, i'm talking bout a just regular JDM FD motor with like 40k on the motor, i just figured since that say for around 10k, the car will have rather high mileage, so it would need a rebuild soon, so that's 10k+ the rebuild, so i just thought why not get a rolling chassis, 40k motor and rebuild it. so it would probably run about 10k with a rebuilt, replace all the coolant hoses and everything. If i were to go along with this route i would send it to a Rx7 specialist so do you really thing that many problems can occur after the swap?
