How much power can rear end hold?

How much power can the rear end of a FD hold? What options do we have for a stronger rear end?

Its not really the HP to breaks them (well it will when you're making tons of HP). Its rpms, when you go non seq or single you start launching the car around 6K rpms.....thats what kills them.

Slicks will kill the axles.

Agreed, wheel hop is the killer, the shock loads are pretty astronomical compared to even someone with 200hp more that isn't wheel hopping. Time is the biggie.

if you plan a high horsepower application, you should think about upgrading. The T2 differential or the kaaz differential are really good choices.

your not going to blow the T2 diff, you can run 9's on it.

The thing is though, if its just for street use the stocker is good. I know people that have made tons of power and tq and it holds fine....untill they start to launch it at 6K lol

Its that instand 6000rpms from a dead stop that snaps it
