Question How much do you pay for Insurance?

How much do you guys pay for your insurance plans? I'm trying to figure out what kind of rates to expect when I purchase and insure an rx7. It would help me a lot if you told me what your demographic (age, gender, location, etc.) is, your driving history, the coverage you have, and what your rate is.

I'm in the Bay Area, California with only one traffic violation on record. Thanks!

age 32, male, married no kids...

clean driving record...one huge accident where I totalled my R1..
anyways got another and my insurance got 5 bucks cheaper per year, so I guess it didn't hurt me.

Anyways...my policy is though Mercury Insurance...
my deductables are $500...and I'm pretty sure I have 30/100..but I need to check that..could be 25/50..

anyways it's listed as the third car...and I pay $600 /yr

i think i can help you a bit more....when i lived in berkeley i got my fd when i was 21. i got insured by allstate w/ every single rebate there was (including good student ) and got full coverage for my 94. it turned out to be around $165 a month. that was with a clean driving record too. if you can, insure yourself under your parents and it'll probably be tons cheaper.

I'm 19 years old with 10 points. I'm with State farm. I pay $575.00 every six months. The car is registered in my dads name so the insurance is cheaper obviously. He has a clean record, recently in one accident, which didn't change anything because it wasn't his fault. It is a family plan so I'm allowed to drive it. I live in the the suburbs in delaware. Also, I have full coverage because I still have a loan on the car. But of course I'll always continue with full with this thing!

i am 18 years old, and i live right across the bridge from you.
i have totalled my first fd, and have gotten one more point officially written up besides that incident. i have a 93 touring by the way.

i have full coverage from allstate: comp and collision, 1000 deductable, 300/500 parachute coverage, all discounts/rebates to my knowledge. get ready...

$4300 per year.

the same insurance coverage for the first car was $2800 per year.

if you live in the bay area and are under 21 i would recommend saving your money unless you sell lots of drugs. start expanding your clientele base to east oakland and university ave now and you should be alright.
or be like cunta cinte and work your *** off.

Insurance on my '91 is about $130/month(liability only) with no accidents and no tickets(well at least thats what the think)

However, when I called for a quote on a '94 R1, it was exactly the same as I am paying now. Anyone else find this a bit odd?
