How the hell are you guys getting these deals!!!

Anyways, for the original poster. Due a TII swap and you'll be happy. Get a FD later when you have more money and time to work on it.

Thanks everyone for replying, as some people were saying I think you guys are right when I should probably wait a bit seeing school is probably gonna cost me a lot and I love my fb but from what I read i can only get about 140 or 150hp out've it without having it ported which isn't really that much but I am not sure how that would feel on this light of a car.

93 bb touring

6k for the chasis which needs a repaint due to misc. scratches etc.
2k for the engine
500 for my rb catback
100 for my catback
150 for my midpipe
50 for my wiring harness
150 for the rx-7 store to fix the harness so it'd be up to par the way I wanted it and to also check the engine out for any parts that may need replaced and or needed to be bought
20 for my momo shifter
100 for my manual tranni/driveshaft
80 for a nice clutch/pressure plate but I forgot the name of the company
130 for my ast
250 for my koyo radiator
300 for my bnr stage 3 turbos
80 for them to get checked out/fixed and my y-pipe to get modified for them
Another 1k ish for my PFC when I get it at the end of the month
10 bucks for my mbc.(never leave home without it.)

and unlimited patience on my friend Mike from the rx-7 store putting up with my calling him all the time and asking him 101 questions for things I had no idea where to look.

All in all, expensive. But once she's on the road (having no spark issues right now so I just said f-it and put it in the hands of mike so he could get it running for me) It'll be all worth it. I'm in college also but, i'm a network admin. So I do ok financially. It's really like this - do you have the 15k needed to set aside for buying the car (guestimating that you can get a decent stock 3rd gen for around 10-12) the patience to deal with the car WHEN it doesn't work the way you want it to, 3k for random fixes and what not and lets not even talk about insurance costs. If you can afford that, then sure go for it as long as you're doing the work yourself. If you can't do the work yourself, jack that price up another 5kish because labour on these cars is a bitch and a half. If its worth it to you and you have the pockets/knowledge/parents/job to support it while in school, then go for it. If not, save up, learn off your 12a. Drive it into the ground once your done with school then use that new job you'll have from your degree to get yourself into an FD without having to stress if you can get it up and running.
