I got the chance to see a bone stock MINT CYM at PFS (close to $20k)...When Ryan started it up, I could barely tell it was on! Then he REVed the engine a little...wow, FD's can be quiet. Almost made me want to put the pre-cat on, hahaha...not really. But it would be nice to have a modded 7 and a stock 7.

2) Even given the fact it was a figure of speech, no, I wouldn't drive a WHITE FD. Its fuggin' ugly & bland. As another member on the forum said, that is why EXOTICS don't really come in white (ie Red, Black, Silver, & Yellow).

3) You need to get educated. Go to to the next Italian Concourso in Monterey in mid August next year, you won't see many WHITE Lambos, Ferraris, Porsches, etc.
But hey, you can bring your creamsicle white FD....that will really stand out!

Wow so much hostility. Just because I don't like yellow. I did think it was funny

I raced against a brand new 2004 Porsche turbo about 2 months agos. One of the nicest looking cars on the road. Guess what color it was ?????? Let me give you a hint.............They couldn't pay you to drive it.

Oh, thank you for your concern about my education. I guess I missed Yellow Car Appreciation 101 in college. How did I ever graduate without that??

I love to look at RX-7s in all colors... But for me, I own an white one... I like that it is some what subdued and understated on a car that attracts so much attention... A sleeper color... Arrest me red or yellow is not for me... And, yea, I'm older than dirt

I live close to a Ferrari / Lambo / McLaren dealer and have seen plenty of white exotics come and go thru the showrooms... About 8 months ago there was a very nice white 599 with tasty black trim... There is a sweet white MP-4-12C in the showroom now

I own a CYM RX7, I am 34 years old. I have only been pulled over once (last summer) in the 7 years of owning it. Funny enough it was at a stop light and the cops set up a inspection area on the right (seatbelts ect.) I was picked off for not having my license plate on the Front bumper. That's it.....call me, lucky but I also don't drive like an asshat.

ADAM C: Id say it was your approach....Its ok to have an opinion, just remember other people have them as well on the public forums. FWIW I like the FD in white, BB, and VR. IMO If I had to go with a different colour it wouldn't be white, BB probably.

Well I love CYM as it is the exclusive color of the R1 model here in the US, but I have to say this statement doesn't ring true at all.

I am certain any judge in a Concours d'Elegance it is going to be familiar with the heritage of the international racing colors.

Germany- Silver
France- Blue
Italy- Red
UK- Green
Japan- White

Perhaps you have noticed special models of sports cars often are produced in a color that corresponds to the international racing colors.

Japanese cars are no different. Think Cosmo Sport, 2000GT, Hakusoku Skyline, AE RX-7, Shiro 300ZX, NSX-R and you are probably picturing a White car.

Not only is it ugly, but it attracts the cops like nothing else.

I know there are there are a number of people who think that CYM is the best color. I bet most of them are under 25 years old.
Some of us like yellow and orange. I have one red FD, one blue FB, one yellow FB w/ black striping and one black Lotus with red and gold striping. While I never got an FD CYM I would not throw her out of the bed and I had ordered an orange Lotus (as a 4,500 option) prior to switching to a Special Edition. On top of that I am over 55.
