How much boost pressure am I losing?

My future plans involve getting a reliable water/meth kit so I'm not terribley concerned a bout temps.

No one is going to be exact but give an estimate if you can.
I have a large ebay special intercooler. Had I spent a little more and got a small or medium SMI what do you think the difference would have been.

Obviously a bit more boost pressure but how much does one more # of boost equal?

if its stocl mount, you wont be loosing that much pressure at all. i have the pettit cc3 stock mount and i dont see any pressure drops.. i cant really say if it will be the same with a i/c from ebay.

If you don't have an adjustable boost controller then you should install one now.

Then the pressure drop across the intercooler becomes irrelevant since you'll set your boost based on post-intercooler pressure.

True. The reason for my question is because I do not want the turbos to work harder than the need. So if my system can support x amount of boost I dont want my turbos to put out x + 3lbs because I purchased a crappy intercooler. I am sure more intercoolers lose something but it is a question of how much better off I could have been had a spent a few more bux in the beginning.

Hard to say. But you're much better off than you were with a stock intercooler.
