If you know how to drive and have a good motor then you only have to worry about C5's.
When I was completly stock I raced 2 WS6's and 1 C5, I beat all of them. Never raced an SS when I was stock.

When I say "beat them" I mean on a real track or real twisties ... not some drag race or street race. You should be able to handle them on those pointless straight exhibitions of ***** power, too, but the RX-7 is a track car and will easily beat any of those aforementioned V8s ... probably even in reverse.

If im not mistaken the drag or street races test the car and drivers ability. As for being on a track, honestly not that many people know what an 'apex' or 'rumble strips' or 'apron' is, so their ability to race on a track is limited. If they have the car most of them do/should know how to drive it.

I thought stock SS's ran 13.6 in the 1/4, and stock C5s ran 13.3.
These are likely best case scenarios with good drivers.
The stock SS should be a really close race with matched drivers.
A stock vs. stock race and I would want a base or an R (lighter than the touring) to shave a couple tenths.
The C5s are going to be tough, but many of the vette drivers probably will not be able to run the car to its best possible quarter.
Stock vs. stock, give me a base or R model and a very experienced driver...that would win most of the time.
For people like me that don't practice the quarter too often and have a couple hundred extra pounds (touring model - and, yeah, I need to lose a few too), having a few more mods to get more HP is a good idea for dragging.
On top of that, there are plenty of modded Camaros and Vettes out there...

No, no, no....that stamp on the inside of the door is not the same as the curb weight. That's the vehicle's GNRW or something like that, not sure what it means exactly, maybe it's the weight of the car at maximum capacity(full tank and 2 adults)? But yeah, that weight on the stamp is always considerably more than the actual curb weight.
Haha, I had a friend that read his stamp and was trying to tell me his Civic weighed 3200 lbs! It's kinda funny, but I can see where it would be confusing.

yep, I believe it's ALL about the drivin
skill, the LS1's auto is pretty good,
it shifts a hellof alot better than I do thats for sure!
I raced a few, and we were dead even, except during my shift,
i'd lose ground everytime I shifted.
If I was a REALLY good driver, would be a different story
(too bad i'm not, hehe)
