How many of you guys have a butt-load of uninstalled performance parts just sitting..

... waiting to be installed?

I can't be the only one here that buys a bunch of **** for his FD and doesn't get around to installing them... Here's what I have in garage:
</p>

  • Set of JimLab Unobtainium Bushings
  • 2 new(warranty replacement) Tokiko rear struts
  • SS Braided lines
  • N-tech Brake rotor cooling ducts and hose
  • N-tech lapping day pads (these don't count, as they are not for daily driving)
  • Rear wiper tank.motor for my Ghetto mod SMIC Sprayer
  • New spark plugs
  • Front brake pads(OEM)
  • Relay for the HID's in the fog light position
  • MP3(ipod) player
I'm sure there are more parts laying around down there. And this doesn't count the many little fixes needed to be done to car. That would be whole other post. One that has already been started, I believe.

Let hear what you guys have spent cash on only to have the parts gather dust. Maybe this will serve to motvate us all to get wrenching.

~ John

I wish I had parts lying around to be installed. It always feels good and the anticipation is ever so great to install them.

Nice parts, keep us posted when you get to installing them. :icon_tup

on a side note: I need new bushings.

I don't have many:

1. HKS Turbor Timer

2. Well, not anymore cause I just sold a HKS PFC F-CON (I hadn't got the payment yet for it so it's still in the garage).

3. I'm about to have a set of ASA AR1 wheels with no tires because a rock flew out the back of a dumptruck and cracked the windshield on my 05 Sport Trac so I gotta pay for it. And my firstborn turns 2yrs old next week so I'm spoiling him instead of buying the tires right now.

4. Not really performance but I gotta MP3 that I wanna hardwire.

That's about it.

Damn chinaman lol. If i had that many parts, id lose hope and sell some of them and get money back. jk, put those babies on.

As for me, i dont have much.

Powdercoated alternator with polished bracket
FULL black interior (still waiting on a couple of parts though)
o2 sensor

I have alot of other things i wanna get but i like to complete with what i got first than to have a bunch of parts sitting in my room waiting to be put on. I like to do things step by step.

The reason why I have so much things to install is because my car has been down for some years now. Just been collecting parts while my motor is being ported.

Damn, It's between Heblenny & chinaman for having the most crap sitting around waiting to be installed. I don't feel like such a slacker anymore.

You know, if we pooled all our crap and found a rolling chassis, we'd have one pretty decked out FD. It would just need paint.

Cool

FD:
Gotham dual oil cooler kit
Nardi JDM steering wheel
newer stock seatbelts
full pillow ball and seal set
99 spec brakes, front and rear (fronts most likely won't fit with my Fikses)
Apexi BNR32 Fuel pump, plus hotwiring it
RE toe links and trailing arms
RB sway bars, front and rear
4.3 gears
TII diff
RP diff bushings

The car is going in the shop on wedn to have the last 5 pieces installed, and the fuel pump/hotwire and steering wheel install will hopefully happen this weekend. I am not looking forward to the oil cooler install at all.

Anyone with non-Fikse 17-18 inch rims want to buy my 99 spec brakes in case they don't fit

Vert:
rear antenna
newly cleaned stock fuel injectors
used (but in perfect condition) oem top with frame
transmission that doesnt have a bad bearing

The vert is on the back burner for now.

Seeing other people's list, I don't feel so bad. My list:

Koyo Radiator with OBX hoses
Hose Techniques red silicone lines
Intercooler with Greddy piping, and elbow
Greddy blow-off valve
Power steering mount that I just broke and need to replace

Not so bad. I'm not driving my car because I don't want to burn up my ps pump because of a lose belt. So I'll be working in the near future to get my car back on the road.
