how many nuts to remove turbos?

I need to know asap. I need to remove my turbos to remove a broken stud and tap another one. I already removed 5 14mm and 1 12mm but the thing is not comming out. I need to know the total #. Thanx

You must remove 7 14mms and 1 12mm. There are 2 bolts near the center that look like they hold a cover plate down. They are on the right side of that plate.

You also must remove the 2 10mm niuts from the oil tubes on each side, as well as the 2 coolant hoses before the turbos will pull free.

thanx. Found them. I just now got another problem. I think my Turbos are gone. The part that connects to the manifold got some cracks and they are about past the gasket. but there is no shaft play at all.

if no shaft play they should be fine, you just won't be pushing a full 10lbs, the pressure will be leaking out through the crack. If you go for the non-sequential setup and modify your waste gate you may be able to push more lbs of boost tp make up for the lost pressure from the crack.

Did you have to pull the motor to take out the turbos?

nope. it was actually easy after I found all the blots and nuts. The other problem I'm having is removing the broken stud. I cut a slot to put a flat head on it but that bad boy ain't going nowhere.

Here is a pic of the stud

Did you try using some vice grips and a vice?

Man I try everything. Even a "Eazy out" but no luck. I'm going to take them to a machine shop to have them take it out.
