how many girls are there here with FDs?
I have my fd almost 3 years now and I just got it after I met my gf.At the time I met her I was driving an Sti Impreza which she liked.I always liked the fds and always wanted one so I decided to get one from a friend of mine who is a mechanic and just brought it in from japan.Unfortunately for him he fell victim and was made example of this post so the girlfriend ORDERED him to get rid of it.She magically forgot to take a little tablet called "The Pill" and got bitten by the baby bug.I gladly helped him and took it from him at a reasonable price (the fd,that is!).
The Sti was then due a service and I left it to a scooby specialist who "magically" took it for a spin and "magically" totalled the thing so I decided to put my tim into my Fd.The gf wasn't mad on the idea of me driving the fd as a daily car coz it needed a bit of work and was rattling and knocking a lot aswell as the horrible veilside kit that was on it falling off the odd time!Of course there were a few harsh words like "if your picking me up in that rx7,i'm not gettin in it!",responded with "fine,i'll meet you there!".This **** didn't go down too well as you can expect but the payment came in from the mechanics insurance for totalling the sti and she was all loved up again!Unfortunately for her the fd inherited most of it and of course she was pissed yet again!!!She knew what it meant though a while back when we were asleep and I caught 2 guys trying to steal the fd from the front of my house. One received a wired jaw and the other felt the wrath of my 50,000 volt stun-gun.I just escaped time for that escapade but wouldn't change what I did!The time is now and the car has taken shape since(a respray, new bodykit, rebuild and single turbo!)and she loves it.She just can't stand the attention it gets around the place from people but no problems being in it now!We have quite a history over the last few years and so does my girlfriend!!!
I know the time will come when I will have to give the fd up but it ain't gonna be anytime soon and she's dreaddin the day it happens! So there's my history with my gf and fd!I just thought you guys should hear my story coz only you guyz would understand!!!!!!!!!!I love this forum!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

there are tons of chicks with MKIV supras, michelle barton runs 9's with her 6speed. and theres a girl with a silver one here in NY. and my roomate has the 2009 supra calendar which only features female owners with their supras, why don't we have that?
realistically, it is the incredible complexity and demanding maintainance (time and money) of the FD that is both a huge barrier to female ownership and a huge source of resentment for wives/girlfriends.
Although any car guy will be spending a lot of time and money on whatever car(s) it is they own. I think RX7's force owners to get more involved, considering not many places will touch them, therefore the sense of accomplishment creates a bond of sorts.
For instance, all I'd have to do is tell her she couldn't ride a snowmobile ever again if I had to sell my 7, and the argument would end immediately.
Why the hell would you want to have more than one woman in your life? I have always barely been able to stand one at a time without wanting to kill them...if I had two, someone eventually, against their own will, would have to die.
I am a female with a '94 CW FD and I absolutely love it. My husband got me into rotary engines with his '05 RX8 and I saw a CYM at a meet and I knew I must have one. I did all the research and shopping for the car. I found the one I wanted and had my rotary mechanic and husband check it out. Now she is mine, well kind of. My husband loves the FD just as much as I do now. I am the one telling him to put more time and money into the cars than him. You guys just haven't found the right woman yet if they are making you choose between them or an FD.
Oh, and by the way, it is a manual and I know how to drive a sports car just as well as most guys. So for the guy that said he would be pissed if a girl beat him, you better not be driving around in Mesa AZ.

From: FL-->NJ/NYC again!
A few years ago I was in LA visiting a friend and saw a woman drive past in a blue FD with a bunch of FEED stuff mounted, but not yet painted.
She was a pretty little thing (Asian) but the the girl I was visiting isn't in to cars too much.
I always wondered if she was on the forum.
Sound like someone anybody here knows?
I just wanted to say "nice car"

I've known/dated a few girls with FDs, one with a white FD, one with a couple of FDs.....nothing serious ever came of it but it was fun while it lasted

Her profile said MB, but the FD I saw looked like a different paint code. (almost like IBM)

funniest thing I've read in a while!
