How many engine turns does it take for your FD to start when cold?
I hear the engine turn about 6 times before it starts when cold now, this JUST started happening. If I drive it in the morning, and then start it again in the afternoon it is kist 1 or 2 turns.
Any ideas?

Tried it in the ON position, same thing. When I say cold start, it is 90 degrees here, so cold meaning 1 or 2 days of sitting before start.
I have new battery, I cant imagine it would be my starter as that is fairly new. I just feel like everytime I start the thing now I am damaging the engine.
Thx

You may just have dirty injectors. Suspect this especially if you also experience flooding from time to time. Are your spark plugs relatively new? Old or fouled plugs will also make it hard to start, especially the trailing plugs.

Mine varies. Some days it starts in a couple of seconds & other days it takes longer. Bottom line? If it starts don't **** with it.

I would guess 2 seconds would equate to maybe 4 turns.
As far as mine goes, its usually 4, on hot starts 1-2
I'm wondering if grounding has anything to do with it. My car seems to start better after I replaced the stock battery terminals. Redoing the grounds may also improve it.

Mine will start straight away and go for a few seconds then turn off. On a bad day or left for long periods off time it might take 6 times to get it satrted and stay going. It's like it won't idle.

Thanks.

thankfully mine starts real quick every time 1 or 2 cranks and off it goes, rises to around 2k rpm then slowly sinks back down.
My car doesnt seem to have the 3k startup thing on it? is this something specific to 92 Fds or has it been removed?
