How many block off plates needed for full NON-SEQ Conversion

Guys,

For anyone out there that has done the full blown non sequential conversion... Please hit me up with a good thread or let me know what else I need to do in order to do the full blown non-seq conversion.

I've already done all the stuff under the "dont be a rikki" site and more. I have a question about the solenoids as well, should I leave the FPR solenoid hooked up with the vac line or can I pull this solenoid as well and just run the line from the FPR straight to the LIM.

Another question, what are all the block off plates I need to order for the non-seq conversion, I already have the one that blocks off the (ACV?) on the inside of the LIM.

Are there anythings I should have cut or welded? Tomorrow im taking exaust manifold to a shop to have the flapper removed from the inside.

If anyone out there has done the full blown conversion help me out here. I'm ordering all the parts for my car tomorrow to get it put back together within the next week or so and need to figure out what other small parts are neccessary to complete the operation.

Thanks,
Greg

you need to remove the flap in the y-pipe too and weld the hole.

you don't need any block off plate for the non-seq convesrion, just when you want to remove the emission stuff. If you remove the ACV, i guess this means you don't have a main cat anymore.

the other block off plate are for the double throttle actuator, the accelerated warm up system, which you preobably already removed and the EGR that you might have already removed also.

so you don't really need block off plates for non-seq.

as far as the FPR solenoid, yes, you can remove it, the car might have a little weird idle when warm starting the car but i didn't notice any difference.

cool.. then I'm set.

Are there any small things I should order for my engine before putting it back in? Any kind of seals, gaskets, etc.... also, if anyone around here is selling a DP I'm very interested.

thanks

When you remove the FPR solenoid you still have to use a vacuum line from the FPR to the Lower intake manifold. It's the only nipple that faces towards the firewall.

I'm kinda in the middle of a non-sequential/no emissions conversion, I bought the K2RD <www.k2rd.com> plates, if you order ALL the 13b REW kit parts EXCEPT the oil metering pump and IAC/BAC block offs it'll work <omp is only if your going to premix and the iac would be if your running an aftermarket idle speed motor on a programmable EFI system or something> Its slightly cheaper than the kit, if for some reason you wanted the whole thing you could just order it for 8 bucks more...I dont ever plan on losing the OMP or IAC so i didnt get em...

Well, no, but if your lazy and dont have a welder like me... regardless thats all the block offs that could come into play so you can either order em or just weld that stuff shut. The other reason i got plates was so at least some of it could be reinstalled should I god forbid need emissions equipment.

I used the block off plate for the double throttle. Works great.

You will need gaskets for the exhaust ports, LIM -> block, and UIM -> LIM.

This stock LIM gasket if freaking paper. When I took off my LIM it crumbled, I think that is where the leak was coming from. I got a nice new metal gasket from mazda though.
