How many 3rd Gens are left in the US??

I know this has been discussed before, but I started to think about this again after reading the March 2003 edition of Sport Compact Car where it gives a rundown of the types and amounts of 3rd gens imported from 93-95. Here is the rundown they gave:

1993

Base M/T = 1,734
Base A/T = 390
Touring M/T = 4,568
Touring A/T = 1,119
R1 = 2,165

Total = 9,976

1994

Base M/T = 300
Base A/T = 110
Touring M/T = 1,393
Touring A/T = 295
R2 = 395
PEG/PEP M/T = 910

Total = 3,403

1995

Base M/T = 82
Base A/T = 26
Touring M/T = 0
Touring A/T = 0
R2 = 57
PEP M/T = 299
PEP A/T = 36

Total = 500

1993-1995 Production Totals

Base M/T = 2,116
Base A/T = 526
Touring M/T = 5,961
Touring A/T = 1,414
R1/R2 = 2,617
PEG/PEP M/T = 1,209
PEG/PEP A/T = 36
Total = 13,879

What do you guys think? We are a rare breed either way.

Just looking over those numbers brings me to ponder the possibility of the 3rd gen increasing in value as the cars are now beginning to be a decade old.

I mean if Mercedes Benz 190 SL can be a collector's car, FD3S must one day become a highly desirable collectable. But that won't happen for another 10 years or so.

check this out: It doesn't say anything about our tan leather and cruise control.. so I guess that would make it even more rare.. That is if these numbers are correct. Maybe I can find another site to verify this.

FD's are rare? What is rare is to spend money on my FD and not get bitched at by my girlfriend for throwing money at a money pit.

Well, there's one less FD in the U.S. unfortunately. The poor silver FD that some idiot rolled before he sold it to "bust" on the list ("RX-7 I bought on eBay TILL IT WAS DESTROYED" thread)
