56,000 on the original motor. I'm glad I got to it before it did blow. Hopefully my new set of reliability mods will keep her running long.

319,000 on my 1st gen! 50k on the first 13b in the FD, 10k on the 2nd, right now, day three and the muthuh is overheating to 228 F on the autometer, 109 C on the Commander. Got a Mazdacomp radiator, sealed EVERY crack around it and the car's cake hole and STILL she overheats. sounds to me like the thermostat. Anybody-- your thoughts? AV

I'm up to about 55K now, 1995, original engine, making 340rwhp for about a year now, no problems other than a leaking LIM gasket. Fully modded, stock turbos too. I had my turbos off a few weeks ago. The rear turbo looked as if it was brand new, the front was pushing a bit of oil but nothing severe. I believe the cause of the front turbo being more worn is the fact I did not plug the AWS hose that normally plugs into the stock intake elbow. When I put on the CWR IC, I just put a filter on the end of the hose. Come to find out, that hose has a valve in it which will leak as much as 2psi. So, tooling around town I do not get into the second turbo as much as the first. I run about 13psi and with the hose unplugged, the first turbo had to work very hard to maintain my desired boost level.

108K on my original motor and it still ran fine. I just put a new one in though so I could do all of my mods and have everything new instead of worrying about a motor going down the road.

1. Previous owner popped the original @ 50K... I think he left the dipstick out (a metafor for the man himself) I bought it @ 60k.

2. At 80k, a baby chipmunk crawled into my rad fans and went to sleep; Little booger kept my fans from coming on in Aug 100 degree heat, and toasted my water seals. He was like a hockey puck when I took him out.

3. KDR streetport (w/ upgraded seals) has been in for 7k.

FMI - How did you know the original owner did not change the oil enough?
