How to make simple block off plates

Hi guys, I just removed my air pump, and now need to make block off plates for the pipes that led up to it before. I was wondering if there is a simple way of doing this, or do I have to purchase a special block off plate kit?

Thanks

it'd need to be a pretty thick aluminum but yeah you can make your own. RTV gasket maker..

sounds like a lot of work to me when there are others out there that have already done it for you (for pretty cheap).
