How long will it take to clog a cat with the AirPump disconnected???
I recently bought and installed an N-tech cat. The guy at N-tech said that you don't need to run the AirPump with the cat. I found out the hardway that this isn't true.

Anyway, I ran my car for about a month with the AirPump not connected. My idle was really rough causing me to think I blew an apex seal.
I am just wondering if that month was enough to partially reduce the efficiency of the cat. I had boost creep before, but now it's gone. It cleared itself up once I "removed" one of the two restrictor plates, the one between the dp and the cat. I hit a rock solid 10.5 psi of boost with the manual boost controller all the way closed... WTF?
Can a pulled cat be cleared out?
Does boost creep ever fix itself?
Thanks,
John
