It took me 3 months total last summer. Removing the engine myself and shipping it to Kevin Landers. He needed 6 weeks. Shipped it back and reinstalled myself. Needless to say I only put 500 miles on the car before it went into winter storage. Just pulled her out this Saturday! ;>

1.5 months, first time on a 3rd Gen. Spent most of that time buying/looking for tools and parts(silicon hose, connectors, sensors etc.).

I think i might have to get an extra REW on a stand. I'd stab myself in the face with a hot waffle iron before I'd wait several months or more to drive my car again.

5 years, 2 months.

Who ever invented the mindset of "Hey the motor is down, let me do one extra thing" should be dragged to the middle of a busy highway, kicked in the *****, and shot for seeding that thought in my mind. . . . bc that one thing has turned into me stripping the car and making a race car out of it. . . . .

I've loved every second of it too, so don't kick him too hard.

One and a half, but I have two motors now - its a long story documented on this forum. I have about 1500 on the rebuild. I feel confident that I did a good job rebuilding it myself.

Hopefully I won't have to wait anywhere near what yall guys waited. I'm only at the 2 month mark, but I don't see the car getting done soon(PFC back order/mechanic sick). I should have installed an Atkins reman. Oh well.

1 year 2 months... Half of that was time spent in Iraq and the other half waiting on an engine rebuild... Good luck to you guys who are still waiting for yours to be back on the road. Every day seemed like an eternity until my FD was back on the road. Then all the frustration of waiting vanished with the first full boost romp. (After a proper break-in of course)
