how to install o2 sensor bung?

anyone have tips on how to install an o2 sensor bung for a wideband?

how would you go about cutting the hole in the DP before you weld the bung in? if its just a drill bit, where can u get a size that big? (what size do you need?)

also whats the average price to have the bung welded in if the dp is already removed? is it easier just getting it done by a shop?

This is an easy job for a shop. let them do it. Can't imagine it would cost more than $30 -50. In fact, I would be surprised if it ran above $30. Bring the DP and the bung to them and let them do it.

Of course this is coming from a person who can't weld

drill hole in DP where you want it to go
tack weld bung over hole
weld in small sections as to not overheat and warp bung

Metal drill bit and a drill, i'm blank on the size i used, i can check it when i get home. If you took the bung or o2 sensor into a hardware store you could use it to gauge what size you need. Lowes, Home Depote, Harbor Fraight should carry them.
