how to install the fuel system

IM about to buy a friends custom fuel pump for my t78. He has 2 walbro 255 fuel pumps custom made to his FD and wants to replace his with mines. so im going to have to take mines off & take his 2 custom pump system.

my question is this.

does anyone know how to take off my fuel system (not the rails & everything) just the fuel pump system. so i can put his 2 custom fuel pumps system on my car

any help would be appreciated

Do they tee in a single line befor the outlet of the sending unit or does he do that after words? that is the only why I could see you doing that on a stock system with out aftermarket rails. When people add two pumps one feeds the primarys and the other feeds the secondarys. I hope this helps.

Telling us what kind of fuel system you have would be a good start.

The fuel pump is easy. Take out the carpeting in the back, and move the bose system out of the way if you have one. There is a small plate to the left... open that up and you'll get to the top of the fuel tank. There are a few screws around there and two hoses. Those are the fuel sending and return lines. Make sure you release fuel pressure (open up gas tank door) - and then take the lines off. YOu'll spill a bit of fuel but not much. Then unscrew the plate for the pump and pull it out. Be careful because of the level sensor (it bobs up and down in the fuel to give you a gauge reading) just manuever it so you don't jack it up. It will all pull right out. You have one electrical connection and a little filter bag near the pump. You can disconnect those as necessary for your new setup. That is as far as I can help you unless you're doing a single pump.

I also have drawn instructions on how to setup a regulator if you choose to do so... which is HIGHLY recommended =)

I have a T78 setup with 850/1600 and use a COSMO fuel pump.. and I still put out nice amounts of HP with a single pump.

Comso, SupraTT - it's the same thing. It's a direct stock replacement too and flows very nicely.

I have a street port and a T78, 850/1600cc combo and hitting 500hp is not a problem. I keep the boost low for street and run it around 12-15psi depending to keep my power around high 300's to low 400's. If you use higher octane fuel (100+) and throw your boost up to 17-20psi you can put down 500.. wouldn't recommend it though.. 400's are good.

You might want to up your primary injectors to 850cc also.
