How to identify 99 spec twins

Are there any physical differences that can be easily noticed?

by the impeller there is a black strip or bearing or something inside on the 99 spec models.. plus i know there 4 digit numbers are different than the older ones.. but i dont know it off the top of my head.

N3A1=stock
N3G1=99 spec

You can add N3C1 to being 99 spec, if you want to use that terminology....minus abradeable insert.
