How in the hell to remove gauge cluster

I want to get this damn thing out so i can take out the switch panel for the heater (etc) i know if i keep at it i am goin to break something i got it lifted up a little somethin in the back seems to be holding me up please please help me before i go nuts!!!!!!!!

Remove the column surround.

Remove the screws at the bottom of the cluster.

Remove the screw(s?) behind the defrost panel on the left side.

Pull cluster straight forward with all your might. When it comes loose you'll swear you just broke it

Ha, if only it was that easy. When I did mine, and I tried to pull the instrument hood "straight out", half of it was in my lap and the other half was still in the dash, split horizontally right in the middle. The clips on the 93's are just too tight. I replaced it with a hood from a 94. Since then I've had it off at least a half-dozen times with no problems.

Yeah, that wasn't a fun season. ahhh . . . the good ol' days.

Once you have it off, smear a little antiseize on those spring clips AND the rectangle spring clip holes during reassembly and the thing will simply slide out smoothly the next time you have to pull it.
