how to get started

I do not own an RX-7 yet but i have been thinking about getting one soon. i wanted to start learning about them and learning how to work on them and what modifications i can make before i buy it. if anyone can give me an idea of how they got started or how the best way to get started is, that would be very helpful. Thanks
