Clint - The Ignition Switch wiring connector likes to be called - X03 in name. X03 is white in color and holds 6 very large wires in a spade connector format. X03 likes being plugged in and seldom becomes unplugged. If you wish to disconnect X03 then make sure the battery is disconnected, hold the release tab down and use a straight screwdriver to GENTLY pry at one end, then the other - outward to assist disengaging the connection.

Did this last week. As stated, you need to get a flat blade screw driver and slowly prise at each end, alternating from side to side until it is out 1 cm or so. Then you can try pulling it apart. It is harder to disconnect than most FD electrical connectors.

Yeah, I got it off.. but I am checking it because I have intermittent starting problems.. is the corrosion supposed to be on the long exposed copper pieces or inside the cylindrical housing? Thanks guys

I think you misunderstood me... I am checking for corrosion.. there is next to none on the long copper pieces.. but I am asking if I need to open up the cylindrical piece and check/clean it also??
