How Do You Reset The Ecu

I just did my hose job and now im geting this lumpy *** idle, it goes from 700to 8.500 rpm, almost like when my convertor was clauged up, i know thats it didnt go bad so i was told to reset the ecu. any clue fellow brothers

I thought it was disconnect negative terminal and hold down the brake for five seconds.

so do i disconnect the -bat, then reconnect it and then hold the brake down, how long do you hold it done.

hold the brake down for 30 secs

if there is 30 seconds worth of power in your wiring harness....HOLY ****!!

oh and no. hold the brake down before reconnecting. this is to make sure there is no hidden power. you could also turn on any accesory to "get rid of all power" the brake it an easy one to do. just tap it and hold for maybe 5 seconds...this will do just fine.

ok k kool i guess somebody was being a wise ***, thanks for the info, on ? though could that be the problem, let me tell you what happend, last night i finished putting the car back together from doing my hose job, everyghing was fine unitl i punch it i was getting full boost and then only 5 psi, i waited until the next AM to check i ti out and i found out that the bottom part of the y pipe was not all the way in, after that i got the lumpy idle it was the same jumpy **** that i got when i un hook the boost sensor, well i think thats all but just to give you guys some idea

just go single is my only advice with that. never did the non-seq conversion so i am not much help there. seems many people have this problem after doing the conversion. have you searched? all i was doing was telling you how to do what you asked.

oh no rxrotary2 dont get me wrong thanks for the info that comment was to the 30 sec guy, not you lol trust me im thingking about single but i put alot of sweat to this vac job you know lol so your help is deff needed
