Its an all purpose biodegradable cleaner. Home Depot carries it. Comes in a white jug with green label.

Or try Meguiar's deep cyrstal paint cleaner. It may be easier on your paint. Don't forget to wax over the area after you get all the grime off.

I think simple green maybe less abrasive than paint cleaner/scratch remover, not sure though.

The important thing is that once you removed all the exhaust dust, put 3 layers of wax on it. Not 1 thick coat but 3 thin coats with 30 min of drying time. This way, you won't have dust eating into the paint in the future. Eversince I used Zaino, I haven't noticed any exhaust dust sticking on my bumper. It's pretty amazing.

Also, use a little towl to gently wipe off the bumper in between washes. This keeps the bumper clean from dust as well.

I also recently cleaned the inside of my exhaust tips. I used simple green, grease cleaner and a rag. I don't think it helped that much in keeping the bumper cleaner but that doesn't hurt either.

Simple green is really hard on paint.( It eats alum. so.........) I use finish 2000 then wash it off with soap and use my normal wax. as for the tips I use windex then wax again it sounds strange but it works. And don't forget your plates too!

I use regular car wax, as long as it's a name brand it'll work, just rub the wax with a applicator until the soot comes off, then wipe the wax off, it's easy.
