Smile how do I check my FD coil pack

Anyone have a quick way to check if the coils, leading and trailing ,on the FDs are working . The manual states a resistance check method between two points ,but my luck, the volt/ohm meter I have is busted. No time to get to the auto store . Any suggestions????

I beleive thats the only way to test them mate,,,,they have to have a certain amount of resistance in each coil which needs to be measured with a multimeter.

Short of finding a megger to apply really high voltage, then resistance checks are your only option. It's not a catch-all test, so in many cases swapping a known-good coil is best.
