How did you get the Rear tranny and diff. oil seals in w/o the SST?

I'm going to be doing mine (very rear seal on tranny and oil side seals on differential) but I don't have the special tool to get them in. what did you use and how did you do it?
Thanks!

Are these seals any different than a normal shaft seal? I have always hammered them in carfully, just be careful to keep it even.

A flat block of wood and a medium 5lb hammer usually help as well, keeping the seal flat while tapping it in.

Also the correct size socket with an extention for a handle will work fine .Tap it with a hammer, keep it stright .
