Ebay.
i waited till it didn't meet resurvey and got a second chance offer for the highest bid.
put 1000 down to hold went down 9 hours checked it out (compression) and bought it!! otherwise don't buy it. don't buy it you say! but its a binding bababa. you have to use questions to cover you own ***.
like whats the compression on the motor? do you have receipts for new motor or motor work so on and so forth. ask whatever before it ends!
so if they mess with you when you say f off... you have an out.

There is a '94 for sale in Wichita right now.
I found mine thru advertisements in the newspaper and seeing it at the dealership.

Again Autotrader.com.
Talked with the owner, sent a check and a week later a shipping company picked it up in Columbus, Ms. and brought it to me in Indy.

I really wanted one and decided I didn't want an STI. So I asked me pops to ask around at his work, he works for Mercedes. Surely enough one of the mechanic's (uber mechanics I would say) nephew had one for sale. Went and checked it out and drove it. 1994 78k on the chassis and 200 miles on a new motor, greddy front mount, apexi exhaust, and a couple other mods for $16,000. Worked my *** off for 3 months, sold a benz, and bought it last august. Now I'm getting the engine built.

had a fair few auction brokers scouring japanese auctions for 4-5months to look for the one i wanted in the colour i wanted and the price that suited me. Almost all of them were in shitty condition or had mods i didnt like. Japanese auctions are the last resort for dealers that cant sell cars in their lots, let that be a warning to others!!!!

by the end of it i was sick of the process and found one i liked on yahoo auctions that was in my prefecture, i went down to look at it and bought it straight away.

Don't be too hungry, be patient.

P.S. 94 & 95 are better years.

Check for TSB's and you will know what I'm talking about.

I posted a very specific request in the for sale section of these forums.

I was contacted by another forum member and he actually had something better than what I was looking for.

after doing paper trails and carfax, I decided I was going to fly to Tucson, Arizona.

I instantly fell in love.

Thanks Scott, you helped me get my self into financial ruin...

LOL

That was one of the best days of my life.

i found mine on nopistons.com, 94 chaste white touring blown motor, in need of paint (all keyed up) only 77k miles on the chassis. Bought it for $6k, swapped in a new big ported brew, threw on a t04z, PFC, fuel setup, bla bla bla and about $5k later (i get good deals) i've got an awesome car still in need of paint (gonna be about $2k-3k for show quality job).

SO i figure things blanaced out the same as if i had just bought someone's in good shape, except i got to build everything the way i wanted it from the word go

kevin.

i went to my brothers house in corpis christy and was walking around his property, stumbled across it pulled into a barn. turned out to be one of his buddy's cars that he couldn't afford to fix because of a baby. i drove down the next week with my other brother and trailerd it back to houston. paid 3500, not running.
