Exclamation How dar did you got to get your FD?

How far did everyone travel to test drive and/or buy their FD? Just curious.

flew from Birmingham, Al to Mineapolis, Minnesota and drove it back. I think the drive back was about 1200 miles but its been a while so I can remember exactly.

The reason I did all that was the car only had 3,964 miles and it was a 95. I bought it 2 years ago this month. I also paid $24,500 which at the time was about the same as all the other 95's with normal miles.

Later,
STEPHEN

Flew from Sacramento to Chicago. Purchased the car 30 minutes later. Drove back to Sacramento.

About eight blocks.

Spotted her sitting in the midst of a flock of Corvettes at a boutique Corvette dealer down the street I live on. Got a BMW dealership on the other side of the road now, too. They make a nice view on the way to work in the morning.

I drove to a park near my house and test dove it, bought it a week or so later after another guy fell through. Sold it to Ron in Kansas City 6 months later who flew to Louisville, picked it up and drove it home. Saw it for sale in Autoweek 2 years later and called. Ron's son drove it to my door and I bought it back.

About 650 miles round trip. W/O Cruise control it is to easy to speed. I must have went 130mph or so a couple of times on the freeway. I just would go to pass and then a couple seconds later I was going double the speed limit. I miss cruise control but it was a fair trade I would say.

300 miles RT, made 3 trips to the dealer. One to test drive it, two to bring my parents also, three to take delivery and empty my wallet! No I bought it cash myself. Parents were there for second opinion.

The salesperson was really cool. Very trustworthy unlike most sales guys.

Only about 10 miles here! Saw her on the Internet first, did some inquiring, went to check out her fine a$$, took a day to think about it, bought her the next day. I would die just to experience those first few days with her all over again.

What part of Missouri did you go through? Out of all the roads I've ventured upon, the ones where I used to live in Missouri were the best by far.
