Are you calling me a *****??? Ever lived in Arizona? Over 110 for the past couple of months. But there's no winter, which was certainly a reason for my moving in the last year.
I garage the car (usually much hotter than outside), and I find my AIR so cold that I have to turn it down (from the 4th setting to 2 or 3) after a few minutes. I just got the car, and it is packed with freon. Very effective air (red on tan interior). Did I mention the AIR is cold?
Stay cool (I'm trying, but it's like 100 and the sun is setting).

No A/C isn't that bad, when I drive my REPU I just take the shirt off and soak the seat with back sweat

Weak A/C sucks! I can't drive my car without getting soaked with sweat. I can't take my shirt off, because I have leather seats. If I drive for more than ten minutes my ******* will be resting right on my asscrack!

If your running R134a and it's not getting cold on 100 degree days it's because you have R134a. If you have R12 it should get cold. The problem with R134a is that it's not as efficient so your heat cycle efficiency drops. My 92 MX-6 has R12, the compressor stays off most of the time. I just retrofitted my RX-7's R12 to R134a ( not paying 200 bucks for freon) and the compressor is always on. If it's less than 90 outside no problem. If it's 100 plus, it works like crap. My condensor get's too hot and my car starts to climb too high on temp. I am going to add a 2ndary fan in front of the condensor to help reduce the heat. Basically, R134a sucks. My friend as a Honda civic with it and it take 10 minutes to get cool and never gets cold on a hot day.
THey got rid of R12 because it wasn't environmentally friendly. But, now everyone is burning seriously more gas to run R134a, so you have millions of cars loosing 10 to 30 % gas mileage. Smart thinking huh?

If the car is engineered for 134a it works fine, even on a 100 degree day. If you don't believe me, you're welcome to come out and sit in my car on the next superhot day. It's the conversions that seem to have the problem. It's true, 134a is less efficient at absorbing heat than R12, but you can compensate for that in the design of the A/C system so it cools just as well. I've tested the temp in my 95 with 134a with an A/C thermometer and the air blowing out the vents is in the 40's.
