How close is your wideband?

First off hello!

Im new to this forum!

Just woundering how close everyone runs there wideband to the turbo?

Mine is about 8 inches away and its just recently gone bad!

After reading aem's instructions they say to mount it at least 3 feet away?

I have mine at the very end of the downpipe. Sensor facing down into it.

8 inches away is WAY too close to the turbo's. It sounds like you're using the bung for the stock O2 sensor. Weld an extra bung on the bottom of the downpipe about 3-4 inches from where it meets the midpipe/main cat. Place the bung as close to 12 o'clock as possible to avoid condensation gathering on the sensor while the car is off.

Have you read the manual provided with the WBO2 yet?

Mine's in the stock bung but has a heatsink. Not enough miles to know about reliability yet.

Mine is about 6 inches from the turbo and I screwed it up pretty fast. That and leaded fuel didn't help. Your best bet is the bottom of the downpipe.

wow, guess mine is way way close, it at the top of the down pipe near the bung for the EGT

^ possibility of condensation gathering inside the sensor, and damaging it.

The more upright you can get the better in those regards.
