How to check if OMP is working
Hy guys,
I just rebuild my engine and I'm about to start it up for the first time.
During the rebuild I added the PCV OMP adapter for separate oil feed.
I would like to know if I can check if the OMP lines are feeding the housings with oil without starting the engine. Can it be done and how?
I'll premix my first tank of fuel to be 100% sure everything is lubricated put after that I would just like to switch to the OMP+adapter setup.

HY, thanks... I will check that and I do have PFC. But could I physically check if the squirters in the housings are getting oil without starting the engine?
The OMP is mechanically driven by the sprocket in the front housings so from that point it's likely to impossible.
I could premix off course on the first few miles and see if my oil reservoir drops accordingly.

Vrai, your OMP is a mechanically driven pump, but it's the stepper motor that adjusts a needle to control the amount of injected oil. On a stock ECU, if anything goes wrong...stepper motor or sensor, it triggers a CEL and puts the car into limp mode.....no timing advance. With your PFC, you won't have a limp mode or CEL, but if you have a commander, you can go to the sensor's screen and check the voltage for the OMP. If it's failed, it will be highlighted/shaded and probably be sitting at about 2.5v, and not change with rpms. If the OMP sensor read-out is not shaded/highlighted and voltage changes with rpm, IMO you can be confident it's operating properly. Bonne Chance
