How to change oil injectors?
I have an RX-7 Spirit R. I need to change my oil injectors because I fear that the check valve inside one has failed causing oil in the intake tract.
Can anyone please help regarding exactly where is it located, i.e. what things do I need to remove in order to change the oil injectors. Only the UIM or anything else?
I have gone through the service manuals and also read through the vacuum/boost lines diagram as well as the oil passage diagrams. I know with what it connects, but I just want to be prepared as to what I will have to remove in order to get to it.
Thanks.
p.s. I guess I will do a writeup with pics after I do this install.

You can test them without actually removing them. Just need to get to the vacuum port on the side, put a hose on it and suck. If you can suck then the check valve is bad. You will need to get the UIM off, and maybe the secondary fuel rail and rats nest. On a stock car it will not be fun. They just unscrew from the block after removing the oil metering lines. The lines have a high chance of breaking while you're in there too so be prepared.

Update: I replaced my oil injectors and found out that it was in fact leaking very bad. I got this car from Japan like this at 19xxx kms. So, I hope it didn't do too much damage. Car is now at 21000kms.
My symptoms were: Oil in air filter, i/c pipes, intercooler and intake manifold. It would not smoke at WOT, nor at any other time. Only once in a while, at cold startup, it would give out a puff of white smoke (bluish tinge) which didn't smell like water condensation.
I have contemplated turbo failure also, but as my engine oil was not decreasing and I wasn't smoking at all under WOT, I deduced that it was the oil injectors check valve. And I was right!
Now comes the Removal and replacement of the oil injectors:
I had to remove my UIM completely and disconnect from it all the vacuum lines. Also removed the Pressure tank. Then I had to remove the solenoids ( a lot of it!) from under the UIM and disconnect the vacuum lines. Put a mark on them so I could recognize which goes where, although the hoses are in such an orientation that you can mostly understand which goes where. As mine is a S8, so didn't have the rats nest that everyone dreads!
Now you can see the oil injectors. But to remove them easily its better to loosen the secondary injectors rail out of the way. Now remove the vacuum t-hose. I was very gentle with them and didn't crack. The rest is easy: just remove and replace. Be careful with the vacuum hose connections as I had made a mistake and didn't hook one up correctly and the secondary turbo was not coming in line. Later found out that one line was kinked and didn't attach to the solenoid.
I am thinking that whoever wants to keep the OMP, has to regularly replace these oil injectors as part of maintenance.
