I have seen the pettit large on a car in Modified Mag a while back. I think its similar to the ASP large, correct me if I'm wrong guys. SMIC vs. FMIC has been discussed to death. Just do a search on the subject.

It is essentially the same thing as an M2/ASP large. Lots of data out there -- it will work very well.

As already mentioned, the Pettit Large SMIC is basically the same as the ASP/M2 Large SMIC. Here is a thread showing some real world testing which the GReddy 2-Row:

https://www.rx7club.com/3rd-generation-specific-1993-2002-16/real-world-comparo-ait-water-temps-smic-vs-fmic-373078/

If those are your two choices, go with a Pettit/ASP Large SMIC.

I have the greddy 2 row and recommend the pettit. unless you have the resources to do some custom ducting around the radiator, your coolant will run hotter than if you used the pettit or another SMIC.

also, a larger radiator is very recommended when using a FMIC.

Pettit's large (Coolcharge III) has a different fin design than I've seen. I can't remember what Cam called it, but it's almost like a hybrid combination of tube-fin and bar-plate. Cam says he tested quite a few new fin designs before choosing this one. I should be getting my hands on one soon for a review in RX Tuner.
