that goes to the nipple on the UIM right before were the throttle body attaches to the UIM. the nipple faces toward the rear of the car.

P.S. that is your MAP sensor.

P.S. I love any excuse to use the word nipple

That's your MAP sensor. It doesn't go to either one of those locations. It goes to the same place where your throttle cable ends up. Check this diagram ('Pressure Sensor' on the far rop right with gas filter is what you're looking for).

As a future reference, you can download the service manual (FSM) from the top of this section. It contains everything you need to work on these cars.

Good luck

The first one from the MAP sensor should be easy. It connects to the rear of the UIM, and I found it was easiest with everything installed to snip the line off the check valve (if you have extra) and connect the UIM nipple first. You should be able to route the hose easily over to the check valve, just don't make it tight enough that it will kink or rub on the other hoses and possibly get a leak. That line is VERY important, as I found when I did my vac job. Also, if you've started the car at all with that line disconnected, it's probably best to remove the negative battery terminal for about 15 minutes and make sure your ECU is reset so that it "learns" the correct way to run with the MAP sensor connected.

The nipples on the front of the UIM aren't that bad either, assuming you have the rest of the lines laying in there. Check the first solenoid in the rat's nest. The line coming from the bottom (horizontal) nipple will connect to a check valve. Make absolutely sure that the check valve is allowing air to flow from the solenoid into the UIM. The arrow will point to the manifold.

Now follow the line from the catch tank that mounts on the intake elbow where it meets the throttle body. The line coming from the front of that should go to the top connector of a solenoid, and the bottom of that solenoid should go to a check valve (again pointed at the manifold). I believe that is the stock metal check valve, but i MAY be wrong on that... so take that with a grain of salt. That one looks like it might be capped on your car, so it still leaves one open.

I'd say connect the map sensor, check that all of your check valves are there. You should have three check valves and a PCV, so every line coming off of the front driver's side of the intake manifold will have something connected to it valve-wise. Use the vac diagram that was posted in this thread, and take the time to look over and see what needs connected. It looks like your car might have some mods that will delete a line or two, but you should still get a general idea of where you need to connect them. Hope this helped.
