Hose End at Left Rear of Engine... what.. why?

So on the ever popular quest of making my FD perfect, I have located a potential area for an oil leak, however I have no clue what this connection entails... so perhaps one of you can elaborate.

Its right underneath the oil pressure sensor on the drivers side of the block, and at first glance it almost looks like one of those quick-disconnect flanges like on the newer BMW's.

So essentially, the question is, What is this line for, how do i yank it off without mangling it?

Thanks so much for all your help.

Below is the replacement part that I found out of pure luck of searching.

I think that leads to the heater core.

It is a cooling line that goes to the heater core. Its supposed to disconnect by depressing the two tabs and pulling like a fuel line. However, when I went to disconnect mine to replace the rubber hose, I sheared the end of it off. I ordered a new adapter and I mangled the old one to get it off.

It appears that it is going to the heater core. So then, I believe that the only potential "oil" leak coming out of there would be out of the oil pressure sending unit (located right above that).

It goes from the engine to the heater core. Some people with track cars eliminate it and weld it shut. I had to replace mine when I rebuilt my engine.

Made of the same plastic that get's sketchy on the AST and radiator end-tanks. I removed it about eight years ago. There's no flare or barb, but the metal nipple is pretty long so I double-clamped it. No issues since.
Make certain the oil your seeing is coming from the sender and not the filter pedestal...or just an artifact from routine oil changes dripping down over time when the filter is removed.

That was one of my concerns as well, that it was coming from the filter pedestal. However when underneath the car, I was inspecting the bottom of it so see if there was some seepage from a bad seal from the filter, or one of the bolts leaking and it doesnt look like there is. But, there was a decent collection of oil coming down on that that heater core plastic connector, which was the original reasoning for my inquiry. I thought i traced it back to the firewall but I was running on 0 sleep at that point.

The Sender does look ok, but there is some oil on it, doesnt look super fresh, but doesnt look super old.

I turned the car on last and there was some leak coming down from the back of the engine that ran across the transmission.
