hopefully a small problem

This just occured from out of nowhere.
the first time i started my car it ran great ( of course after warming up). the second time i started the car it idled around 1k then after a min or two it stalled on one rotor and eventually stalled completely. then after that I have to unflood the car and clean the plugs to get it to start again. i do not no what else to do.

I have replaced all vac hoses with silicone, vitton check valves, aws delete, what could be the problem? i was thinking an apex seal stuck because the car had been sitting for a year and if so how can I unstick the damn thing.

any insight would be helpful
no other mods

thanks
Adam

My injector problems started out just like this.

After a while of fiddling and idling it, I could drive it around the block with it cutting out and bucking. The more I drove it, the more rpm and boost it would do before cutting out. It was good I stopped, because while I think mine was dumping fuel, it could have been lean instead.

I do not think that the injectors are the problem. I had them sent to WASH st to witchunter, he did a real good job. and I checked the injectors when they got back by using a 9v battery. every thing was good there.

If you suspect the hard seals might not be moving smoothly, start with a compression test.

I would pull the plugs, then put a teaspoon of MMO into each rotor. Then use the front crank nut to turn the engine 1/3 rev and repeat so you get some on each face.

I would then turn the engine a couple more times by hand and let it sit overnight.

I still tend to lean toward a fuel problem - maybe not the injectors themselves, but maybe a pinched o-ring (leak), fuel pressure problem, etc. I would get a fuel pressure gauge and test fuel pressure. Also possible is the TPS adjustment.

The injectors might also be sticking - while clean, if they aren't used shortly after the cleaning they can sometimes stick a little bit. If you can stethoscope to hear them ticking that would verify you don't have a stuck injector.

That's amazing since a filter is non-directional (in the sense it will work in either direction, flow wise) just how did this fix it ?

I agree - unless switching the map filter the other way did something else like obscuring a vacuum leak or fiddled with a bad wire.

i know its the weirdest thing, the filter does have a directional arrow on the side of it .
I was thinking that it may of had to do with back pressure on the filter its self.

before when i started the car it would startup and go to about 1.5k then all of a sudden the car would stall. after switching the filter the car ran, warmed up, and drove fine.
