Hookin up the Avc-R..Cell probs

I was wondering if anyone knew if your're supposed to unplug the wires going to the factory solenoids? If unplugged will they throw up cell's 42&43? Thanks!

I personally owned an avc-r and never got it to work right. I know of a few others who had the same issue, not even with just 7s. I've also seen tons of people on here complain about not being able to get it to work. haha I am somewhat convinced that apexi has somehow managed to sell thousands of these units w/o them actually being able to control boost. is ther anyone out there who has one that actually works 100%?

If you follow the instructions Apexi had on their site, then it'll work as it should. Most people don't have it plugged into the ECU correctly, nor do they route the lines correctly. Mine was installed wrong the first time, but it's done correctly now. I leave it off and I get whatever the spring allows, I turn it on and I can crank it up and limit it to whatever.

Fixed the problem. Turns out removing the factory solenoids triggered the cells. I hooked em back up and voila, no more codes!

Yep, you have to either leave the solenoids plugged in or wire in a resistor on the stock ECU.

Saw a guy once who said there are 2 types of people with AVC-R's - people who study and learn the functions and love it, and people who should stick with a basic boost controller, can't figure it out, and have all sorts of problems.

Had one on my old TII and LOVED it. I'll probably be getting another for the FD at some point.
