hook this up or get rid of it?
When my car had the rebuild done the left the boost controller unplugged so as to not void the warranty. What i want to know is whether or not i should plug it in. Is this one any good or will i get any benefit from it. I know it's an older model that's why i'm leaning towards just getting rid of it; that and the fact that i'm not sure how to work it. just wanted to get some more knowledgeable opinions.

hmm... Looks like HKS EVC I or EVC II. This is a pretty decent boost controller. From my understanding, the older BCs are quite good. The GReddy Profec A (first gen Profec) is among the best around, still. Besides, its already there. Why dump it? Keep it, you'll need it sooner or later.

This would be incorrect. When unhooked he has (or should have) minmal boost if no pills are involved 7psi. and if he hooks it up and adjusts it incorrectly he can actually over boost the engine and that could cause a problem. Remeber it is a boost controler and will adjust the boost not prevent it from over boosting.
