home depot vs profec B

I've been using home depot boost controllers in place of the pc and wg pills to correct for my altitude (7000ft). It seems to be working pretty well, but boost still varies + - 2psi from 10psi during a 3rd gear run (before transition mostly). Would a profec B give me more constant boost? What other reasons might I want a "real" boost controller instead of a couple of needle valves?

I'm not looking for more boost (I'm on the stock fuel system), just more consistent boost throughout the rpms. I'm only really thinking about a profec B because of Jason's current "special".

Thanks for any advice

The Profec B seemed to make my car spool up faster and I feel safer with it.

Some manual boost controllers can vibrate the needle out.

My Profec B holds nice and steady at where I have it set. No creep and no spike (like you'd expect with a good boost controller).

Check out a ball and spring type manual boost controller. They spool the turbos fast and are rock steady.
