When I was helping my buddy install his turbo on his Neon, I got his intercooler piping powdercoated for free....Anyway, the company would not powdercoat the pipes unless we assured them that the temp range would be under 100 C. Said after heat cycling at higher temps it would flake off, no one wants flakes of powdercoat in your intake!

HPC has a exhuast coating that looks chrome, that would be perfect for the engine. Only down side is it would hold in the heat.

Ceramic coatings are what they use on exhaust parts, can look like polished chrome if you want. But like mkoch1 said, they are meant to hold in heat, but can take some serious temps.

Thats cool, dont get me wrong, I didnt say it didnt look good. I just said its not what I would call "impressive"

BUT - You can also get alum spray paint for engine blocks that go up to 700+ degrees that look EXACTLY like that and it would cost all of $2.

I know cause i did my rotor housings with it, you can get it at any parts store....even Walmart lol

Thats tight!!! but it looks like ceramic coating not powder coating, I've got my front cover done in that as well as my water pump housing.
