HKS v mount problems
Hi guys,
I currently have a HKS v mount with a koyo racing radiator. Apparently the HKS v mount was built for the oem radiator so since the koyo is thicker, my radiator fans now protrude from underneath the car, even past my front lip by quite a lot.
I've tried searching on google and on the forums for an answer but I cant seem to find any particular solution to this issue. How do the people running the HKS v mount kits here solve this problem?
I've been trying to find a solution but cant seem to get any. I figured my best solution would be to swap for slim fans from SPAL, which have 52mm, 62 and 88mm thickness.. The oem fan is 88mm at the motor and its also protruding by quite a lot. I measured the 62mm to still protrude by a bit so the ideal scenario is for me to use the 52mm fans.
Would anybody happen to know of the flow rate of the stock fans? The spal 52mm one flows at 907cfm.. I was hoping I wouldnt replace the stock fans with something slimmer and be faced with the problems of a rising water temp.
Anybody that can offer some knowledge would be extremely helpful! thanks guys

would you happen to have photos of your radiator and fans? the stock fan blades are 12 inch so I'd like to see how you fitted the 14" fans. maybe I can go for a larger fan which is thinner and higher flow rate
