HKS V-mount??

I was browsing around the NOPI website and came across an HKS V-mount intercooler for the fd. The price was pretty good compared to RE and it seemed like a great deal. The only thing that made me a little uneasy was that there were no pics and nobody knew anything about it. I just wanted to know if it came with a radiator or not. Any insight??

I like that. THe radiator isn't 2 inches from the ground on that set-up.

Funny this should come up today. Was looking through old Pms when I found a convo me and Red R1(Chris) were having about this subject.

Supposedly it does not come with a radiator and they have discontinued the IC in N/A. It was on sale for ~2100$ last time I saw the kit.

It isn't 2 inches from the ground in the RE setup either if you do it right.

Rotary Extreme is in a freeze state of not taking any additonal orders for now (as posted on their site). They're in process of moving. But I do hope they return as I have a few things I still have to get from them as they are the exclusive supplier of the stuff I need. =/

Good thing is that the RX7store.net happens to carry the RE vmount.

No disrespect but **** I-M-Racing. I have sent them countless emails and would have purchased from them a long time ago but they have not even replied to one of my emails in the last 2 years. I would sooner buy from Satan's son then IM.

On a happier note, there are also several japanese tuning houses that sell V-Mounts as well namely a little place that goes by the name RE Amemiya......

It seems that everyone that sells the kit has the "awaiting test fitment" disclaimer.
What's the deal with that??

This HKS kit has been advertised for a while now. I'm sure it's available for sale but website has not upgraded info.

The only one that really seems worth it is the Knightsports. A custom 70 mm radiator (not a cobbled up stock-style), and clean mounting scheme. That's why it's $3k.

There's at least half a dozen on the market at the moment from japanese workshops. The knightspeed one is nice, because it can be run with their enclosed CF intake (shame it's so expensive).

ARC (who are renowned for top quality cooling gear) also have a nice setup - hasn't seen much advertising though.

Uhhh guys, the HKS V-mount has been available for AGES. It, along w/ the Knightsports one, were among the very first to hit the market. I can get 'em ALL DAY LONG, but I hope you have deep pockets...

RE Amemiya and Panspeed have ones as previously mentioned, but good luck trying to get ahold of Panspeed (kirks me out). And as DaiOni said, ARC has one, but they're a walk-in shop like Panspeed too grrrr

Knight Sports V-mount. w00t!

It comes with a beautiful Ron Davis custom radiator. Minor mods to the A/C piping (due to kit originally made for RHD) and power steering cooler/loop were done during install.

That looks bad ***!!! So if RE Amemiya, Panspeed, HKS, Kightsports, and Rotary Extreme all have V mounts the question is which one does the best job? Honestly I like the way the knight sports looks. With all the hard pipes. Or can they all look like that it's just a matter of finding the right pipes? Does anyone have any numbers on these bad *** V-mounts?

Lemme make it simple for you. Most ppl don't have the $$ to front for a V-mount, let alone a $3K core + shipping and misc fees from Japan. So 99% of the ppl running around w/ V-mounts (a small population as it is) are running Chuck's (RotaryExtreme) V-mount, which is a very nice V-mount might I add

The V-mounts do come w/ piping, and no you won't find comparison numbers.
