When it comes to electronics I agree but I thought the FD3s twin power was discontinued?

Never been discontinued, there was a period maybe 4-5 years ago that they were on backorder for a year. We have them in stock.

I just saw that you have them in stock. Originally I was looking under "electronics" and missed them. You'll be seeing an order from me in the very near future.

Thanks!

Agreed, buying used electronics is a gamble, plus, lets support the vendors who are supporting and giving so much back to the community.

Yo, cool thread. Im following your other thread as well, the one where youre adding on parts. Performance wise, whats the difference between the Twin Power and the MSD 6al, besides the fact that you can connect to all coils with the Twin Power?

We just don't bother to install the MSD, it is too big and you need 3 of them. Can't tell you how they compare performance-wise. The HKS twin power is a 15 minute plug and play install and has a very small footprint and amplifies all the coils.

We even install them in FC's, 5 wires and all three coils are amplified.

Yeah i understand about the size and ease of installation. Those dont matter to me, and the amplification of the trailing coil shouldnt have too big of an affect, i think. What matters to me is price, and if they both do the same thing, but one is half the price... Just wondering, not trying to **** on your thread or anything.

It's okay. We used to install the 6A on the leading coil of the FC, but there is a lot more available space. Sounds like you have already talked yourself into it. I say try it and let everyone know how it works out for you.

I can't tell you how many poorly installed Crane HI-6 amplifiers I have removed from FD's.

I am curious what exactly the twin power does, since the description says it is a combination of inductive and CDI.

would anybody be willing to let me blorrow a twin power to test?

I can do some back to back tests with an o'scope like i did in this thread:

https://www.rx7club.com/naturally-as...hread-1035364/

So, could one have a weak coil and not knowing it because of running the Twin Power? Is that an issue, or is it ok since the TP "cures" the problem?

Wow!

Good thing I got one when I did.

Are they coming out with a new product that's superior to the Twin Power or
no?
