Question HKS Titanium Racing Exhaust vs. Apex-i GT Spec Exhaust

hey guys,
I am gettin a new Exhaust system in about a month or so for my 95' TT and Im stuck between the two systems I mentioned in the thread.
I have a few questions that you guys can hopefully answer for me. They are as follows:

(HKS Titanium or Apex-i GT Spec...incase you forgot )

Which produces a higher horse power gain?

Which produces a louder sound?

Hope to be hearing from you fellas soon.
Thanks in advance,
Börg

if you want power and don't care about the loudness then the HKS titanium is the way to go. the HKS Titanium has a 4" piping all the way down to the dp. my friend( poweraxel) had it on his car and we were just crusing at around 40mph and a cop heard us from 1/2 mile away and pulled us over.

Question Apples & Oranges

You can compare:
HKS Titanium, Kakimoto Titanium & JIC-Magic Titanium together ...all are "race" exaust.

Apex'i GT is a street/track (street w/silencer & track without)cat back exaust and is "1/2 the price" of the others. If you want to replace the Cat' with a mid pipe, SR Motorsports has a silencer on theirs.

I hope I worded this nicely?

Red face Don't know of any

You might want to ask the guys that actually race (MaxCooper, ValSpeed...etc.) and there is a few guys that have used (KnightSport) or still have the HKS Ti'.

If you want a compromise, JIC has a 1/2 titanium & 1/2 stainless steel cat back. That's on my future list. Then you can add SR's MP w/silencer

Red face Whoops, sorry...

The HKS Titanium comes with a silencer also, same as Apex'i GT. But I still don't understand the comparison?

Cat back VS strait pipe
Stainless VS Titanium
$500 VS $1,500

If you wanted to break the piggy bank, I suppose you could have a Borla XR-2 Titanium muffler welded to the titanium midpipe...hmmm, except it is 3.5" and the MP is 4".

Unhappy

I wouldnt recommend the hks ti. because you dont have the option of putting a cat on. and I never drive my car without the silencer. I had way to many ticket in the pasts! Its not too bad with the silencer. and it smell pretty bad.

It's simple.....HKS is DOWNPIPE back 4"....That means 4" piping while most exhaust are ONLY cat back and DO NOT include a mid pipe like the HKS Racing Ti.

So compare 4" piping from the DP all the way out to 3" only after the catalytic converter.....there is your answer.

Why does this comparison always come up...what can't people visualize about a 4" DP back exhaust compared to a 3" catback or 3.75" catback?

I got for the GT spec, that Ti is just going to be a arm and leg for the $$$$$$ look its HK$, but it is a 4 piping, but the Gt is awsome too, th TI is FKN loudest of there, up to you , you can save $$$$ and use the rest for many things, or go for the FKN loud HK$ Ti, the Gt is also 3.5 piping al well
